Summer 2010 - June 2010
Welcome to jetskihard.com! We are here for Jetski fans and riders of Michigan, and region 6 (midwest watercross tour). The sport of personal water craft racing and free riding is growing strong with riders emerging nation wide. Here at JetskiHard we are creating a place riders and fans can learn more about the sport and local ride events. We are strongly encouraging riders to attend local free rides and races to see what all you are missing. Check the race schedule for the next regional event. Jetskihard is proud to announce its first free ride in Port Sheldon MI July 24th (see below for details).

The first Jetskihard.com FREE RIDE of west MI will take place in Port Sheldon MI July 24th 2010. This is a free public event of which the sole purpose is to gather riders. There will be a mix of all talents from beginner to professional so we encourage any riders to come drop their skis in the water for a great time. The more riders the better! We will be launching at the public boat launch at 2PM. This is a non registered event that will be a basic meeting of jet ski enthusiasts. Hope to see a great turn out for the first gathering...

Kawasaki has announced its discontinuation of the production of two stroke stand up Jetski's. If you are wanting to get a brand new Kawasaki 800 SXR stand up they are going fast. Contact Treads and Sleds Kawasaki of Grand Rapids for more information and sales.

Oscoda and Harbor Beach Pictures - September 9th, 2009
Hello everyone, I just updated the website with Oscoda and Harbor Beach Pictures. My sincere apologies for both my very limited involvement in the sport this past racing season and the lack of updates to the website. The Jetski's are out of storage and so is Jetskihard - April 29th, 2009
I am sure our lack of updates hasn't gone unnoticed but I am here to tell you we are still alive and kicking. Today I am just working on cleaning some things up and getting the latest racing schedule out there for everyone to see. 2009 should be an interesting year, I am hoping to be surprised in a good way, in the sense that there will be plenty of racers out there despite the economic conditions lately. I was also happy to read about the Stanwood, MI location, I see tomorrow a town meeting will be attended, hope it goes well as the location is nice and close to both Greg and I.

Walled Lake, Region 6 Finals - August 22nd, 2008
I want to start of by thanking everyone for a great season of jetski racing. There is a few people I want to thank in particular. Scooter Simmons and Kentucky John for lending me their boats without them it wouldn't have been possible for me to race. Of course the rest of you Eh Team racers, for being some great guys. Also my family for throwing me some money here and there. Robin and Jim deserve big thanks for the pictures they keep sending race after race and I look forward to seeing the latest Walled Lake pictures as I am sure you all do. This passed weekend was another one of action packed jetski racing, the turnout was great. That 13 jetski beginner class was a lot of fun. Greg Glover taking 2nd place for the season was also a great jetskihard moment. Unfortunately I dont think we'll be making it to Nashville, but as always we are happy to post up any pictures you might have for us! We also hope you'll be wearing your jetskihard shirts proudly. It may be the end of the region 6 watercross tour, but this summer has still got some riding to be done yet. We've been talking about getting some (ehteam) people together at Scooters place for some riding, I believe mid to end of september. Feel free to ask questions on the message board regarding that. Thanks again everyone for a great season, look for those pics soon!

Harbor Beach, Can-Am Cup - July 21st, 2008
The Can-Am cup was a weekend to remember just as any other year. We had some great racing action. Our very own Greg Glover took 2nd place on sunday. I was very happy with my 4th place on saturday. We were very happy we had a bigger beginner class this time round. The cookout on friday was a great time, great food! It was great to get there thursday evening to drink some beers with some of the other early arrivals. And then to have all of friday to prepare for one of the greatest racing events of the summer. The ramp jump caused some hairy situations as always. I enjoyed very much watching the pro's duke it out, as I am sure we all did. Hope to see you all next year and as far as region 6 goes, we'll unfortunately have to skip Celina, but if anyone takes pictures I would like very much to put them online, see you all at Walled Lake!

Oscoda at Mai Tiki - June 18th, 2008
Last weekends event was a weekend to remember, the Mai Tiki resort was phenomenal (click here for their website), many thanks to Pat and Theresa for putting so much thought into it. We had some great racing action, a busride to remember and an all around great time. Hopefully next year Oscoda will attract even more racers, but it was defenitely a great start for this new location. Right now I am waiting for pictures to come in from various people, GM Jim should be mailing the pictures his wife took. I also know some other people are planning on sending me some stuff, dont forget! Also figured it is about time I bring the race schedule up to date for this year. So look for that in the events/races section which you can find in the menu to your right. We should also be getting our t-shirts in soon which we will have available at can-am!

Marshall Ride Day - September 2nd, 2007
Unfortunately we weren't able to get a sanctioned freestyle event setup this summer, but we would still like to setup a ride day in Marshall before the seasons end. There are two possible locations, the pond that is a invite only private race course. The other is the Kalamazoo river.  We have access to private property and private launches here. There will be camping and a hold on to your hat after party. Right now we have September the 29th in mind. We will have more details soon. Contact us with any questions or interest.

Can AM 2007 - August 13th, 2007
This message is a little late, we have been just a little lazy, but that is because we ride hard! Can am is undoubtedly the best race in region 6, if not the best race in the country. Can Am separates men from boys when it comes to hardcore racing action. The races were sick, the ski's were fast and the fireworks were loud! The winning performance of the Hydrospaces took us by surprise. We heard good and bad things about this boat. The amount of power that can be produced is substantial provided you have a lot of money. However the Carbon fiber hulls are said to be weaker than the fiberglass of the past. A lot of Hydrospace racers refused to hit the jumps, forcing them to go around a penalty buoy. On another note, we are looking forward to next years hockey game, keg toss, live music, camping, fans, racers, etc. If you are interested in attending next year, drop us a line and we will help you out with details and information on the race.

Hard Racing Freestyle Event - November 17th, 2006
Ok, People of the freestyle. We, at jetskihard.com, are trying to put together a freestyle event this summer that will be the first of its kind on Lake Michigan. Why Now? In the past decade the sport has reached new levels all over the world. We feel that West Michigan provides one of the best sports culture's and natural resources in the country. We would like our freestyle event to take place in one of the common lakeshore areas. We are going to need a gathering of Riders, Volunteers and Spectators so we can make this possible. For more information go to Events / Races, click here for comments/suggestions and click here for freestyle signup sheet.
